Community Advocacy and Outreach
Gaspard is an active member of the community:
Gaspard has volunteered in various political campaigns to help progressive teams for children and families get elected to office, such as the Hon. Mayor Tisdahl, former Hon. Ald. Judge Jean-Baptiste, Chicago Ald. Joe Moore, and the Hon. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky whom he introduced to the Haitian community, leading to the Congresswoman becoming one of the best friends Haiti can count on in Washington.
He has also participated in hundreds of community meetings and other community events and has played a very active role in working with his neighbors to make Evanston a better place to live, work, and play.
Through his radio programs, Gaspard has introduced many philanthropists and dignitaries to Haiti, like
Haitian American Professional Network
On the air, Gaspard facilitated discussion on topics that are suited for the Community, like healthcare, education, youth and families, immigration process, domestic violence and more. His distinguished guests include dignitaries, philanthropists, community leaders and more.
He will bring fresh energy and new leadership to the Office. He will be focusing on improving the capacity of the Mayor's office, and create new partnership with Northwestern University, Districts 65 and 202 for the best interest of our children.
